SAPERION Integrates XenData Archives Series SoftwareMunich and Berlin, Germany / May 24, 2004: XenData Limited and SAPERION AG announce the integration of the SAPERION enterprise content management product suite and XenData Archive Series Software. XenData software manages a Windows file server with on-board RAID and an attached tape library. The resultant high capacity file server is optimized to archive and retrieve reference information such as generated by document imaging, ERM/COLD and email archiving applications. This option to provide a high capacity file server based on XenData software enhances the SAPERION product range, especially for large enterprise installations where multi-terabytes of data must be managed. The advantages include increased scalability, improved storage administration and lower cost when compared to the alternatives such as optical disk jukeboxes. XenData software writes data simultaneously to both RAID and unalterable WORM tape. High capacity AIT and SAIT WORM tape formats ensure the authenticity of the written files and provide best practice for legal compliance. A wide range of tape libraries is supported, offering capacities from less than 1 TB to over 100 TB per server.
