Digital Video Archive Solutions for Media and Entertainment - Archiving to Secure LTO Tape

XenData digital video archive solutions are well proven in the media and entertainment industry - with over 300 server installations worldwide - ranging from post production organizations to local TV stations to major global broadcasters and major service providers. In addition, XenData solutions are an excellent choice for archiving surveillance video, medical images and a wide range of scientific and engineering data.

XenData archive solutions are built on IT standards. The archive server provides a standard file system interface; it complies with standard Microsoft security based on Active Directory; it is optimized for the standard network protocols CIFS/SMB and FTP; it uses IT industry standard server and tape library hardware. Most importantly, it uses the IT industry standard tar format which means files can be restored from LTO tape without even using XenData software.

»X64 Edition Software

The X64 Edition of XenData Archive Series software runs on a 64 bit Windows server and manages one or more data tape libraries and RAID, creating a digital archive optimized for video applications.

A license to use the X64 Edition can alternatively be used to implement an X32 Edition system.

»MX64 Edition Software

The MX64 Edition of XenData Archive Series software runs on multiple Windows servers and is optimized for very large digital video archives that require a single file system.

»SX Archive Servers

A XenData SX Archive Server manages an LTO tape library and creates a digital video archive that is optimized for the requirements of the media and entertainment industry. SX Archive Servers combine two leading proven products: HP DL380 G6 servers and XenData X64 Edition software. They are available in six standard configurations, each optimized for video archive applications.

SX Archive Servers are currently only available in North America.
