Supported drives

The TL2000 and TL4000 libraries are supported with LTO FC and SCSI drives and LTO SAS drives. 

Cleaning Cartridge Support

The TL2000 and TL4000 libraries do not allow import of a cleaning cartridge into a data cartridge slot which means that XenData automatic management of cleaning cartridges is not possible with these libraries. The library itself should be used to manage a tape drive cleaning. To achieve this, either use the dedicated cleaning slot if available or configure the library with an unallocated tape slot, bulk load a cleaning cartridge into this slot and configure the library with 'autoclean' enabled.

Medium Changer Device Driver Installation

These tape libraries emulate the IBM TS3100 and TS3200 tape libraries and are supported with the Windows 2003 operating system using an IBM medium changer device driver:

The device driver for this medium changer is installed using an IBM installation program which also installs the IBM LTO drive device drivers. This is available from the IBM support site and the IBM Support Portal. Use version 6.2.0.9 (or later) of the installation program and select 'Exclusive'.
