Supported Drives

The IBM TS3500 is a highly scalable enterprise library available with LTO format drives. 

Minimum Supported Firmware Level

The minimum supported firmware level is 4370.  If the firmware in your unit is at a lower level that this, please contact your library support organization for an upgrade.

Medium Changer Device Driver Installation

The library is supported with the Windows 2003 and Windows 2003 R2 operating system versions:

To install the XenData device driver

1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'

2. Select Device Manager from the left pane and select 'Unknown Medium Changer' in 'Medium Changers' from the right pane.

3. Right-click on the Device and select 'Update Driver.'   Click 'update driver' to launch the driver update wizard.

4. When prompted 'Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for Software?', select 'No, not at this time' and then click 'Next.'

5. When prompted 'What do you want the wizard to do? 'Select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)'   and then click 'Next.'

6. Choose the 'Don't search.  I will choose the driver to install' option and then click 'Next.'

7. Click 'Have Disk' and Browse to or enter the path '<boot drive>\Program Files\XenData\Drivers' and then select 'XenMC.inf.'   Click 'Open,' 'OK.'

8. When prompted to Select the device driver, Scroll to and select the Manufacturer and the appropriate model and then select 'Next.'

9. When the warning 'The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing...' Click 'Continue Anyway.'   This completes the driver installation/update process.
