Spectra Logic 2K Library-Specific Information

Supported Drives

The Spectra Logic 2K is a 4U free standing or rack mounted unit that supports the AIT format.  It contains up to two drives and 30 cartridges.

Supported by XenData Versions

The Spectra Logic 2K is only supported by XenData Archive Series software versions up to 4.00.

Minimum Supported Firmware Level

All firmware levels are supported.

Medium Changer Device Driver Installation

The device driver for these libraries is installed using the Windows Update service, as follows:

1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'

2. Select Device Manager from the left pane and select 'Unknown Medium Changer' in 'Medium Changers' from the right pane.

3. Double click on the device and select the 'Driver' tab.

4. Click 'update driver' to launch the driver update wizard, allow the wizard to connect to the Internet and click 'Next'.  Select 'Install the software automatically' and again click 'Next'  When the wizard finished installing the device driver, click 'Finish'.

If the driver fails to install for some reason, you can download a suitable driver from the Spectra Logic support site.  Follow the installation instructions on the site.
